Rohini Kanniganti, M.D., M.S.P.H.,
Dr. Rohini Kanniganti is a Board Certified Family Physician offering patient-centered consulting through Boulder Metta Medicine MD. Dr. Rohini honors the resiliency and innate healing capacity of her patients as the basis of her medical work. She brings together the best of western and eastern medicine to walk with patients and their families through their medical challenges, and to help them make informed healing decisions. Her clients are people suffering from chronic or serious conditions, who are often feeling frustrated, confused or frightened by previous treatment complications. Dr. Kanniganti welcomes patients with a variety of chronic illnesses in adults and children including cancer, autoimmune and rheumatological illnesses, diabetes, heart disease, eating disorders, infectious disease, multiple sclerosis, chronic pain, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, insomnia, anxiety and depression, ADD/ADHD, inflammatory or irritable bowel syndromes, thyroid diseases, menopausal syndromes and metabolic syndromes.
Rohini Kanniganti attended medical school and graduate school in Public Health at the University of North Carolina (UNC) in Chapel Hill. She has an extensive research background, including work with Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and National Institutes of Health (NIH). She has been a recipient of numerous awards for counseling, teaching, community work, and excellence in medicine.
She has a special interest in holistic medicine, particularly in the ayurvedic approach. She is affiliated with The Foundation for Informed Medical Decision Making and The Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Colorado.
